Who is our only hope?
Hopefully we set the table this weekend for what we’ll be chewing on for the next several weeks in our Sermon on the Mount series. And…hopefully this weekend’s message gave you plenty to think about!
Jesus was not at all what the religious leaders expected in a “Messiah”. He continually baffled and confused and infuriated them at every turn.
Sometimes God doesn’t operate the way we want. That doesn’t mean He is wrong, it just might mean we can’t see from His perspective. So what do we do?
We put ALL our hope and trust in Jesus. There is no other way to go, no other place to turn. He is our Truth. He is our Guide. After all, HE is the one who became our ultimate sacrifice when He loving aloud others to nail Him to that cross…for us!
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” (Matthew 5:17 NIV)
