In it to win it
There’s one clear way to proceed when all around us is going crazy…TOGETHER. The Apostle Paul’s pleas for unity happen in just about all of his letters.
It breaks my heart to see Christians going AT each other during these times. Opinions turn to facts in the blink of an eye, and then we’re off and running…and typing.
One of my favorite sayings of all time is this, “A man doesn’t have to be my twin to be my brother.” The meaning is simple and powerful. We don’t always have to agree, about masks or anything else, but that doesn’t mean we take up sides and duke it out.
If you’re going to stand for anything, stand for the value of unity in the Body of Christ.
“Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” (Philippians 2:1-4 NLT)
