Making things more difficult than they need to be!
Last week I had the opportunity to zip out to Sedona for a few days. We rode mountain bikes and I was able to take some pictures along the way. One morning I got up early and went to hike to a location I had seen on Instagram, but had never been to myself.
With directions from others, I headed out by myself. I’ll save you a longer read by telling you, I missed my turn and added quite a bit of hiking to my adventure. I also wound up taking the most difficult route once I was in the right area.
The picture here is from a place called “The Birthing Cave” in Sedona. Amazing views from this perch. However, what could have been an hour hike round trip, turned out to be over 2 hours because I wasn’t sure of the trail to take.
I thought to myself…if only I had listened better to those directions. They didn’t make sense until I came back (the right way) and saw what I was supposed to see the first time.
LISTEN BETTER! It might just make your life, and mine, a little easier! But remember, listening is only the first step…
“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.” (James 1:22 NLT)
