The Whole Point

The Whole Point

If you’re local (the San Jacinto Valley) and you’re hungry…this Thursday night we’re having TACOS from 5:30-6:30pm on our corner patio. Our Thursday night service starts at 6:30, so we’ll head into the worship center then. Back to the tacos…they’re $8.50 per person (3 tacos, rice, beans). We’d love to have you join us for some hang out time…with TACOS!

We’ll be tackling the letter of 1 Timothy this coming weekend (including Thursday night) at Community. While preparing, I got stuck looking on these verses as translated in The Message.

“The whole point of what we’re urging is simply love—love uncontaminated by self-interest and counterfeit faith, a life open to God. Those who fail to keep to this point soon wander off into cul-de-sacs of gossip. They set themselves up as experts on religious issues, but haven’t the remotest idea of what they’re holding forth with such imposing eloquence.” (1 Timothy 1:5-7 MSG)
