It’s been on my heart as I think of so many who’ve lost someone this year. Many of you have lost someone within the last few weeks. In fact, whether this year or years ago, Christmas isn’t really the same if you’ve lost a spouse, parent, child or close friend.
You don’t have to “lose” someone to struggle during the Christmas season. Maybe you’re simply going through some seriously painful stuff and singing “JOY to the World” just doesn’t seem right. So, when I saw my friend’s blog on this very subject, I had to pass it on.
Rick Rusaw spoke here at Community this past May. In his blog he shares of his loss and how God’s hope can still shine in the midst of the darkness during this season.
