I Miss My Friend
Even to this day, it’s hard to write about Jeremy without feeling the emotion I felt five years ago when I had to announce his passing.
Jeremy was our Executive Pastor and a great friend. At the age of 40, Covid took his life.
It was doubly hard because we were all trying to make sense of it all. He was in his prime! His wife and sons needed him. Our church needed him. I needed him. And yet, after much prayer from thousands of people, Jeremy was ushered into the presence of Jesus.
While I still miss him, I am also blessed knowing that we got to share the work here at Community.
Few are as real and kind as Jeremy. He had a very special way of making everyone feel special.
His wife, Jen, and their boys Brayden and Logan are still an important part of our church today. They have been such a light and an encouragement to so many. You all are in my prayers today.
“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:11-12 NIV)
