Could you use this?
There is no shortage of pain and difficulties in our world today. This week we have people from our church family who are dealing with serious health concerns, relationship challenges, financial pressures and so much more.
So today I wanted to remind you (and me) of the importance of focusing on the right thing. It’s possible to fixate on our problem and miss what God might be doing in the midst of it. Let’s focus on Him and the hope He can bring us when we’re in the middle of the fire. Focus on the eternal and not the temporary!
And…Let’s keep praying for our Middle School students at camp this week.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV)
