Week 1 of Freeway is still resonating with people. This week’s reading in our Freeway workbook is simple, straightforward and still…very profound. I loved this:
“And if right now, we sat together at Starbucks and you told me your story–
how you’re scared that you’re not enough,
and that you feel like a screw up,
and how you lie about this and that,
or how you wish your friends would invite you over more often
—I would hold your hand in a non-weird sorta way, look you straight in the eye, and tell you this:
You are loved more than you could possibly know, and everything is going to be OK.”
I also love that in the middle of our week 1 reading we find THE verse we ended our Proverbs series with:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5,6 NIV)
You gotta know a verse like that, and a challenge to commitment like that, is just going to keep showing up.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m really getting amped up for this weekend again!!
