The first time our family went through the 21-day Daniel Fast it was more than a little difficult. Now, after going through it four times (three with the church family), we feel we have a better grasp on the whole food thing.

It seemed like it took us forever to figure out what we COULD eat. It just felt like, at first, there was way more that we couldn’t eat. Here’s a great website that gives you a quick breakdown on what you can and can’t have during your 21-day fast.

That same sight has some great recipes as well.

The other main site is: http://daniel-fast.com

They give a lot of help on the spiritual side of your fast as well as the food side. A great book of recipes and devotionals for the 21 days can be found on their site: http://daniel-fast.com/portfolio/learn-grow/

You can also find that book on Amazon.

That’s enough for today. Start doing your homework by understanding what you CAN eat and start making a shopping list.

One last key: READ LABELS! Just because it’s in a health food store and looks like it’s healthy, many times there is sugar or preservatives in that salad dressing…or whatever you’re looking at.
