How to P.R.A.Y.

Here’s a quick recap of this weekend’s message. I hope this will be an ongoing help to you as you learn the power and importance of communicating with our Father.

Praise… Begin your time with God by acknowledging His Holiness. What characteristics and qualities come to mind today?

Repent… Remember, repentance isn’t about feeling bad, it’s about making a change. Ask for forgiveness, but then look for new ways to move forward that will be honoring to your Father.

Ask… Yes, we can ask for things. We can talk about what concerns us. We can share highlights from our day. As we do request things, do so with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6).

Yield… Choose each day to be a place where God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven. Pray these kinds of prayers: Search me. Break me. Send me. Use me. Fill me.

“Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.”  (Matthew 6:9-13 NLT)
