Going to Oxford was truly a great experience. I loved the old buildings and the town itself was just one picture worthy setting after another.

However, the history of this place is thick with geniuses. These are the people who created penicillin, designed St. Paul’s Cathedral, and with C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien in the mix, have written some pretty profound and amazing stuff.

But see, even for me to describe their genius, I used words like “mix” and “stuff”. These people were brilliant. The entire city exudes brain power.

For me, even though I didn’t feel smart enough to “belong”, I was certainly inspired by the people who’ve come through this place and left their mark on our world.

We even got to see a 15th Century copy of the Bible. (Again proving the King James Version is NOT what the Apostles used, since it didn’t come along until 1611. ha)

The highlight of this all-day trip had to be going to the old pub, The Eagle & Child. This is something Megan wanted to do from the day she arrived in the UK because this is where C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien used to hang out. Well, so did we. Thank you Megan for waiting so we could do this together!

All in all, a great day. I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the neighborhood!
