Is it your turn?

I’ve been reminded on multiple occasions the last couple of weeks, when life hurts, GOD IS WITH YOU! Yes He is. What a great promise. But then, in 2 Corinthians, Paul takes it a step further…and I love it.

He makes the point that as God helps and heals us, it’s not just for us, but for the next one we can help as well.

Now, this is even cooler: I’ve watched people going through pain, at the SAME TIME, being a help and an encourager to others.

The question really isn’t: are you through the pain so you can help someone else? The question is: Are you ready to help someone else (whether you’re going through it still or not)?

“All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-5 MSG)
