It Ain’t Easy!

Following Jesus is clearly the best choice…but that doesn’t mean it will be easy. We live in a world that bombards us every day with the opposite message of how to truly live life.

Maybe, from someone you know, you heard them say something like this, “If it was easy, it wouldn’t be worth it.” Well, following Jesus is definitely worth it.

Consider again today these words from our Lord. Are you ready again today to sacrifice? Deny self? Die? Because, when we actually give our life away…we find Him, and we experience real living.

“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9:23-26 ESV)
