In John 19 we read Jesus’ last words uttered on the cross:
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30 NIV)
“It is finished” had everything to do with His payment for our sins. The phrase literally can be translated, “PAID IN FULL.” But that isn’t the end of the story…is it?
On Sunday morning we’ll gather to celebrate that His death was NOT the end of the story. One part of the mission was completed on the cross, but another part happened on that first Easter morning.
Because Jesus conquered the grave, we have hope. That hope, and this is so important, is not just for a select few. Check out what the Apostle said.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!“ (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)
Did you catch that? ANYONE!
Now, get out there and invite EVERYONE and ANYONE you come across this week. They need to join us this Sunday in the Hemet High stadium at 9am to hear just how much they matter to God!
Seriously, get out there and invite EVERYBODY!
