“Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:39 NIV)

Jesus’ words in Matthew 10 are the foundation for our series, The Crazy Life. Giving our lives away is actually, as crazy as it sounds, the only way to experience real life.

This past weekend we talked about giving our time away.

We talked about “living for eternity” and “living with a sense of urgency.” The problem is, we get sidetracked by the temporary and our sense of urgency is stolen by stuff that is way less important. Remember these words?

“Teach us how short our lives really are so that we may be wise.” (Psalm 90:12 NCV)

Don’t make it complicated. Simply go out of your way for someone today. Watch for opportunities that God may place in your path that require little more than just your time. Think of the power of offering your time to do just ONE thing better today:
