As 2015 comes to a close, we have only a few days left to give a financial gift to Community that represents your gratitude to God for what He’s done in and through us this past year. It’s also an opportunity to “pay it forward” into the New Year.
Our generosity at this time of the year paves the way for so many special opportunities to connect even more people to Jesus in 2016. For starters, this offering helps us as we invest in our Easter experience in the Stadium. When you give, people are introduced to Jesus. It’s that simple.
Thank you for another great year at Community! God has done some very, very special things. One of my personal favorites in 2015: we saw another 126 people baptized!!!
Thank you!
Important Facts About Year-End Giving:
1. Make sure we have your current address and email for the 2015 giving statement.
2. Cash donations must be received in an offering envelope clearly marked with your name.
3. According to IRS regulations, deductions claimed in 2015 for charitable contributions must be either postmarked or in the possession of that charitable organization by December 31, 2015. This means that checks which are placed in the church offering on the first Sunday of 2016 will not qualify for a charitable contribution deduction in 2015, even if the check is predated to 2015 or was actually written in 2015. However, checks that are written, mailed, and postmarked in 2015 will be deductible in 2015 though they may not be received by the church until 2016. If you have any questions please call Dorinda at the church office (951-929-2135).
