Prayer for Ourselves: (Isaiah 48:17-18) “This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Pray that God will guide you daily in obeying His Ten Commandments in thought, word and deed. Claim His promise that if you do this you will have more power in your life and more peace.

Prayer for our Valley: Pray that Christian homes might know the greater peace that obeying the commandments of our God can bring. Pray against stealing, adultery, coveting, and murderous thoughts or murderous deeds. Pray for complete devotion toward the LORD for all the families of this Valley. Pray that children will obey their parents and adult children will help their aging parents. Pray for a greater civility for all the residents of this great SJ Valley!

Pray for our Nation: Pray in the same vain as above, but widen it for America and not just the SJ Valley. Pray for both wisdom and action concerning our borders—to have the compassion that only Christ can give but also greater safety for our families and citizens.

Pray for the World: (Leviticus 26:34-35) “Then the land will enjoy its sabbath years all the time that it lies desolate and you are in the country of your enemies; then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths. All the time that it lies desolate, the land will have the rest it did not have during the sabbaths you lived in it.” Stewardship of the world God has given us: Pray that the world will not reject Christ to the point of failing our first calling to maintain the earth and be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1-3). Pray that Christians would be good stewards of this world and not be selfish and try and gobble up more bounty than they need, but share it with others instead.
