Building Up: What is God Saying? 

1- Read Ephesians 1:3-6; 2:19. What is so special about being included in God’s family? How has the church been like a “family” to you?

2- Read Ephesians 3:10-11, 20-21. What is the significance of the phrases “through the church”? Why does God use us to get His message out and reflect His character?

3- Read Ephesians 4:1-3. Why is unity such a big deal for the church? Why is it important for those of us IN the church and why is it critical for those watching the church? (John 17:20-21)

4- Read Ephesians 4:11-16. What have you figured out about how the church SHOULD function? What have you figured out about your unique roll in the Body of Christ?

1- Read Ephesians 5:25-27. Why does God use marriage as a vivid picture to help us understand our relationship with Him? What is significant about a marriage, unlike any other relationship, that helps us see God in a new way? …See us in a new way?

 

Living Out: How do I obey?

1- The church has taken a lot of hits in our culture. What are some specific ways you and we can help defend the importance and vitality of the local church?

2- One of the powerful ways to counter the complaints about the church is to lovingly serve our Valley. Come up with a service project you can do together.
