LifeGroup study guide – Week 5: “Everyone is Unleashed”

Stepping In: Getting things started!

1-What are you most looking forward to at the Easter celebration?

2-Share something from the weekend message that really hit home for you.

Building Up: What is God Saying?

Read Acts 3:1-10, then answer the following questions:

1-The “routine” we find early on in this story reminds us that God can use the most ordinary moments in our day to do something extraordinary. Share with your group something God once did in a routine and otherwise ordinary moment in your life. What are some of the times of your “routine” that you think are ripe with opportunity?

2-In verse 6, Peter says, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus…” What are some things we DO have that, in the name of Jesus, we can offer to others?

3-Praising God seems like the obvious, natural response in this man’s celebration. Why don’t we praise God more for the good stuff in life? What would help us get to the point where praising God was the first response to any great situation?

Read John 14:6, then answer the following questions:

4-How does this truth help us understand the investment we make in money, time, energy and more, when it comes to special days like this?

Living Out: How do I obey?

1-The man in the story was miraculously healed. What is a compelling part of your story that gives credit to God and points the way to what Jesus could do in someone else’s life?

2-Pray together for Easter. Pray for the teams in which you will all be serving. Pray for those you are and have been inviting. Pray for Pastor John, Sarah Kelly and all who will be a part of the program. Pray for the decision time, that we will see many people take a step toward Jesus!
