Building Up: What is God Saying? 

Read Luke 6:27-31. Do you ever remember treating someone nicely, even though they were mean to you, and it actually changed the situation? Tell your group about it.

Why are Jesus’ words in verse 31 the very best way to live life? How have you seen it change you or others?

Read Luke 6:32-33. Why does Jesus hold His followers to a higher set of standards? Is that fair? What is “freeing” about loving people whether they love you back or treat you right?

Read Luke 6:34. Why do you think Jesus has a specific command regarding lending money to others? Has lending to others ever got you in trouble? If so, how did you seek to resolve it?
