There’s much about the book, Life On Mission, that has captured my attention and my heart. I don’t think it’s simply because I personally know the author and can hear his voice as I read each page. I’m getting a lot out of it because it’s good, strong stuff!

Tim quotes one of his friends, and that quote has really stuck with me. Have you read this one yet?

“Jesus didn’t commute to his ministry, he moved into the neighborhood.” (Greg Nettle)

Sometimes simple is deep. Sometimes practical is profound. This is that kind of a quote.

It also reminds me of The Message’s translation of John 1:14.

“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (John 1:14 MSG)

Keep reading and go ahead…move on into your neighborhood!
