Tuesday night my friend, Tim Harlow, kicked off the North American Christian Convention with a great message. I’ve known Tim since we were kids, in fact our parents went to college together…so maybe we’ve known each other since before we were born.
Anyway, Tim is the President of the NACC this year and has set up the week to be something really special. Bottom line, he challenged the thousands of church leaders who are here to get back to doing what the Church is supposed to be doing. The theme of the week is RE-MISSION.
The message, and entire opening worship experience was all tuned into this main thrust: Taking Jesus to the world around us. (Matthew 28:19-20)
I love the fact that Tim has lived the mission in his own life and led a great church in the Chicago area to eat, drink and breathe this mission, as well. They’ve baptized over 6000 people in the last 16 years!
Tim and I, along with some other pretty amazing dudes all lived on the same dorm floor at Ozark Christian College. It’s pretty amazing what God is doing in the lives and ministries of some of these guys, who at times stirred it up at a small conservative Bible College.
Thanks Tim for leading the way this week. Can’t wait for the rest of it!
