Read Proverbs 12:4. Why should the “character” of someone be a huge factor in determining if they are spouse material? What do you look for to gage a person’s character?

 

Read Proverbs 18:22. What are the many benefits of finding the right spouse for you to share your life with?

 

Read Proverbs 21:9,19; 27:15-16. What are some of the key differences between having a quarrelsome spouse (or friend) and being able to have constructive discussions on areas in which we may not agree?

 

Read Proverbs 22:24-25. While not specifically about marriage, how do these verses apply to the pursuit of the right spouse?  Why is a lack of self-control and a bent towards anger a huge red flag for a potential spouse?
