Yesterday at the stadium was so amazing on several levels. The one thing that really hit me throughout the event was the way all of our volunteers stepped up. I gotta tell you, I’m so proud of our team!
I seriously loved watching our greeters, ushers, children’s team and all of you who helped make our Easter Celebration something truly unique, special and personal. I had a number of people comment to me how nice and friendly everyone was. It was great watching you in action.
What most of you did not get to see was our set up teams and our clean up crews, but we definitely saw the results. These people did an amazing job behind the scenes. We are all grateful for your hard work!
We’ve come to expect great things from the people who lead us from the stage, and maybe because of that we could easily take them for granted. But, I don’t think any of us do. You all rocked it and you all were powerful as you lead us in worshipping our Risen LORD.
So, let me just say it again: THANK YOU! You made people feel at home in a big open-air stadium. You made people feel comfortable who hadn’t been to a church in years. You were a tangible expression of God’s grace and love. THANK YOU!!!
Because of you all, seeds were planted in people’s hearts. We can continue to pray this prayer for all those who were given the opportunity to have a special encounter with their Creator.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead…” (Ephesians 1:18-20a, NIV)
