One of the key reasons Community has grown and had “success” throughout the years is because we’ve always had a strong group of Elders who faithfully hold this church up in prayer, protect our mission/vision and simply love this place.

After 18 years of encouraging support from Dan Duty as one of our Elders, he has chosen to step down and serve in other ways.

Here’s some of his own words. You can see his heart for Community as well as his sense of humor:

“We are ALL IN but I get to be a participant in a different aspect. I plan to continue worshiping, tithing, and serving wherever needed and lifting you all up in prayer. I’m anxious to see what God has planned for me. I’m sure it’s not the nursery…or anything to do with puppets. UGH!”

Dan’s wife, Dorinda, continues to serve as our Financial Administrator. They have served here together at Community for more than 20 years and will continue to love and serve in this amazing church.

Thank you Dan! Your encouragement and support throughout the last couple of decades have been especially helpful to me. I sure appreciate you brother and love the fact that we’re not done serving our Lord together.
