Last night I met with some people regarding the Cambodian work we’re involved with. I’m regularly blown away by what God is doing there.
Being able to visit again and help teach this past winter rekindled my heart for this amazing ministry. More than 20,000 people have come to know Jesus through Christopher LaPel and his work in Northwest Cambodia.
I’m proud of the fact that we’ve been a strong supporter of what they’re doing to reach people and change lives. The stories are many: Assassins come to Jesus…pimps and prostitutes have found new life in Christ…commanders of the killing machine (Khmer Rouge) are now preachers. It’s amazing.
Yes, we’ve got our work to do right here in our own valley too, but Jesus never said either/or. He said GO. It’s both/and…and I love that we can make a difference across the street AND across the globe!
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NLT)
