What if the most important thing that happens this Christmas isn’t something we do or buy, but a question we ask?
4 Reasons Christmas Is THE time to invite your friends/family:
1. People are already interested in spiritual things.
Research shows most people would come to church if someone they knew just asked, and people are more receptive to going to church at Christmas than other times of year. Of course, Easter is another big opportunity.
With all the Christmas songs, so many singing about Jesus, joy, peace and love, people are simply open and interested in spiritual things.
2. People don’t like to “miss out”.
Curiosity got the wisemen and shepherds to find Jesus, and curiosity could be just the thing leading the people you invite to meet Jesus as well. All kinds of people will show up at churches this Christmas, and some who weren’t planning on it might just go to see what the buzz is all about.
3. People are hurting and need some hope and Good News!
What happened in San Bernardino recently was tragic, but we have enough other bad news throughout the year to already be longing for some hope in the midst of the brokeness. Relationships shattered, cancer, heartbreak, lost jobs/opportunities and so much more leaving us all needing this thing called HOPE. Christmas is all about HOPE & GOOD NEWS!
4. YOU matter to them, therefore so does YOUR invitation.
Please don’t ever underestimate the importance and significance of YOUR INVITATION. Because you’ve developed a friendship, they care about you and what’s important to you. We’ll have invite cards available this weekend for you to personally hand to your friends as you ask the all important question: “Would you like to go to one of the Christmas Services with me?”
