This is just for fun today, but I was reminded again of some funny songs that happened to come on while I was out hiking, mountain biking or running.

They struck me as ironic and funny. See what you think.

Once, while hiking Tahquitz peak, we were nearing the top with a drop off on our right side that was several hundred feet. One false move, and you’re done. That’s exactly when this song came on:

Recently, while mountain biking up in Simpson Park, I was heading down a technical and very steep downhill section. I wasn’t more than 10 feet down the steep decline when this song hit my ears:

Monday morning of this week, my legs were just about fried as I was finishing a 3 mile run. The day before was my first run in about a month, so my legs were really pretty sore. I had less than a 1/2 mile left when I heard these words:

DROP DEAD LEGS, Van Halen
