Are you willing to put in the effort?
About 10 months ago I hiked into this famous cave near Sedona, AZ. It’s called “The Subway Cave.” I was in Arizona to speak at a men’s retreat and a church on a weekend. However, it’s hard for me to be in Arizona and NOT go to Sedona! I love it there.
This hike wasn’t difficult, but stretched me a bit the last half mile or so. Like most good things in life, when I got there it was all worth it! A little effort paid off with some amazing views.
So, what does this have to do with anything??? Good question. How about this: You might just be a little effort away from something amazing.
Seriously. You want to have a better marriage…put in the work. You want to be more successful at work…put in the work. You want a better relationship with your children…put in the work. You get the idea, right?
We have plenty of things we want…but what are you willing to do to get there? You want a better relationship with Jesus…spend the time, put in the work!
Here’s the cool thing. With every move in the right direction, with every ounce of effort in the right thing…we can begin to see change. Hang in there and keep on the right track. You won’t be disappointed…not by God anyway!
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 ESV)
