This past Sunday night there was a very special Christmas party. Our “Heart to Heart” ministry is all about those with special needs. Let me explain a bit about what happened at their Christmas party and you’ll see just how amazing this all is.

For starters, Heart to Heart reaches out to encourage and support those with special needs as well as their families. They have a support group for parents and a LifeGroup of moms with special needs kids. There’s also “Heart to Heart for Me”, a special needs adult class that meets once a month.

Well, on Sunday night 60 people got together to celebrate Christmas and express love in some very tangible and personal ways.

2 different women’s LifeGroups fixed and served the dinner for all the Heart to Heart people. Special gifts were given to the care-givers who work in a home for special needs adults. 

Under the leadership of Maria Mayer and some very loving people, Heart to Heart continues to make a difference in the lives of some very special people! At least one new family will be coming to Community just because someone loved enough to show it!
