Do you have this?

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13 NLT)

I can do everything…

He’s not talking about lifting a car over your heard. He’s not talking about swimming from Long Beach to Catalina. He’s not even talking about a new personal record in the gym.

So what is Philippians 4:13 actually talking about?

Can He give us the strength to make it through a difficult day? Can He help us weather the bad news from our doctor? Can He provide what we need to make it through another Thanksgiving with family we don’t enjoy being around. Yes. But that’s not what Philippians 4:13 is about.

Here you go. Philippians 4:13 is continuing Paul’s discussion of being CONTENT. He IS saying: Because I have Jesus, whether I have a lot of stuff or a little, it really doesn’t matter. I HAVE JESUS…so, I can be CONTENT.

The next time you’re feeling like you don’t have what you need to make you a somebody…remember the ONE who loves you and provides everything you need in a relationship with the Almighty.
