Do you remember?
Each week at Community we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we can have life, be freed from the bondage of sin, and be made new. We call this communion. It is a reminder, a memorial of His love for us.
Each year, as a Nation, we remember the sacrifices people made to protect the freedoms we enjoy. This day on our calendar, while celebrated with great gusto on the extended weekend, should be a time for great thankfulness.
We live in a blessed Nation, a Nation with tons of problems, but still a place of freedom. I’m grateful I live here, grateful for the opportunities and grateful that so many have seen this place worth giving their lives for.
Today, as we remember…let’s also pray. Pray for our Nation!
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)
