Do you sense this too?

I mentioned this verse on my 60 Seconds with PJ video yesterday, but wanted to spend a bit more time with it. Here’s the verse…

“There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.” (1 Corinthians 16:9 NLT)

Paul, while talking to the church in Corinth, is revealing something I think is very true today. There is a “wide-open door for great work” HERE too. Opportunities are all around.

At a glance, maybe you see only the division in our nation, the evil allowed to run rampant, the problems. However, I wonder if we could see the people around us with God’s eyes…perhaps we would see all the opportunities for great work.

And yes, “many oppose” this message of hope and life, but the opportunities are still there.

We need to pray…and get to work!

“He said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.’” (Matthew 9:37-38 NLT)
