Do you want to trade it in?

The Bible gives us many examples of big trade-offs. We call what Jesus did for us “the great exchange,” as He took the punishment on the cross for our sins. The punishment we deserved. Thank you Jesus!

There are other things we’re encouraged to trade in…for a better way to do life. An important list is found in Ephesians 4:17-32. Paul is saying, when we follow Jesus, we trade in our life of darkness so that we can now live in His light. He gives several practical examples. While they’re all good, I love the last one.

These two verses aren’t just a good trade, they are genuinely transformative! Take it to heart and trade in your bitterness today. Now!

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV)
