Philippians 4 has always been a great passage to read if worry is your downfall. In my daily reading I was in Philippians this last week, but was reading out of the Message. These words came with new power. Check it out.

Phil. 4:6-7 (MSG)

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

I don’t know if you needed that today, but you might tuck it away for a day when the stress and anxiety of life begin to turn up their temperature.
