One of the most important things about this journey we’re going on is your willingness to get in touch with God EVERY DAY. I’ll be sharing a devotional thought EVERY DAY. Here’s why:

John Ortberg in his book, God is Closer than You Think, has this to say about the frequency of our time with God:

Whatever repeatedly enters the mind occupies the mind, eventually shapes the mind, and will ultimately express itself in what you do and who you become.

The Apostle Paul said it this way in Romans 12:2:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (New Living Translation)

If we really are a Christ-follower, then we will long to have our mind re-shaped by our God.

Remember, whatever “repeatedly” enters the mind is the key to directing who you and I will become.

Prayer thought: (A special thank you to Maegan Bourlett for guiding us in our prayer thought for each day.)

Spend some time expressing in your own words how much you love Jesus. Proclaim His worth and tell Him that He is more important than any earthly thing and that you desire time with Him above all else. Then, ask Him to protect your time together and to guide you in the discipline of a daily walk with Him.
