Is this your job description?

Skip down and read the verses in 2 Corinthians, then come back and read through a few of my thoughts.

What does an “Ambassador” do? What’s their job description? I can think of a few things that directly relate to OUR JOB DESCRIPTION as a follower of Jesus.

• We represent. We really are the hands and feet of Jesus in our Valley. Like it or not, when people spend time with us, they come to conclusions about Jesus.
• We serve. An ambassador serves the needs of the other citizens. Yes, we are citizens of heaven. This world is not our home. There are times when we are called on to help each other out.
• We proclaim. There is a message that has to get out. There is a truth that must be shared. Who are you telling this week?

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NIV)
