Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet 43, starts out: “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.” After spending some extra time with our staff this week at a special Christmas lunch, I started counting.
I love the diversity of our staff. Besides having a guy from Iran, we have a diversity of ages, talents and backgrounds. We also joke that our French/Mexican worship leader, his white wife and their three black kids automatically make us racially diverse! Thanks Andrew & Holly!
I love the passion of our staff. While we may be passionate about different aspects of the mission of Community, we are all very passionate about The mission.
I love the hearts of our staff. These people are servants. They lead, but they lead with serving others in mind. One thing I can’t count, are the times I’ve seen one staff member drop what they’re doing to help another one.
I love the humor of our staff. If you can’t laugh, especially at yourself, you probably won’t fit on this staff. We have fun together. Our work is very serious, but we do have a lot of fun along the way.
I love to come to work. There, that pretty much sums up how I feel about our staff.
