Stepping In: Getting things started!

 

1-There was a lot of EPIC news this weekend at Community. What aspects are you most excited about?

 

 

Building Up: What is God Saying? 

 

Every Day With Jesus: 

Read John 15:14. Why is obedience such a big deal in following Jesus? Why can’t we just pick and choose from all His teaching what we think will help us? Why is “love” and “obedience” so often linked in Jesus’ teaching?

 

 

Practical Love: 

Read Mark 12:29-31. How is it that “love” can sum up all of God’s commandments? Why is leading someone to Jesus, one of the most loving things we can do for someone?

 

 

Intentional Ministry: 

Read Romans 12:4-5. What are some of the many lessons we get from this powerful picture of the church…as the Body of Christ?

 

 

Comprehensive Investment: 

Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-11. Point out some of the amazing promises of God that are attached to our generosity in these verses.

 

 

 

Living Out: How do I obey?

 

1-We have a few weeks to get our head and our heart around all of this. At this point, which of the four commitments might be the most difficult for you? Which are you most excited about?

 

 

2-Get a plan in place for your service project.
