Building Up: What is God Saying? 

 

Read 1 Samuel 24:1-4. David, for years, is pursued by King Saul. How does the beginning of this story connect with your own story? 

 

 

Read 1 Samuel 24:4-7. At first glance, this looks like a great opportunity for David. However, with more thought David sees it all differently. What are some things we can do to help us always have the bigger picture in mind when we’re facing the opportunities and choices before us?

 

 

Read 1 Samuel 24:8-15. What do you find most amazing about David’s approach in this situation?

 

 

Read 1 Samuel 24:16-22. What does the end of this story teach us about our conflicts? How does it encourage you to do the right thing, even though it’s by far the more difficult thing?
