As a LifeGroup this week, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the value of great friendships. That includes our marriages!

Stepping In: Getting things started!

1-Not all of you are married, so this week we’ll view this relationship through the lens of “friendship.”

2-What’s one quality you really appreciate about your spouse or a friend?

Building Up: What is God Saying?

Read Proverbs 17:17. What is it about a great friend that helps you when everything is falling a part?

Read Proverbs 18:24. How have you distinguished what a “true friend” is over the years?

Read Proverbs 22:24. Why is the spouse or friends we choose so critical to our quality of life? *See also Psalm 1.

Read Proverbs 27:6. What are some of the ways you have been corrected by a friend that really helped you out? What are some of the most destructive ways people have tried to correct you?

Read Proverbs 27:17. Share stories of how your spouse or a good friend has made you a better person today because of their influence.

Living Out: How do I obey?

1-If you are married; of the Proverbs we just looked at, what is most needed or encouraging for your own marriage at the present time?

2-If you are not married, which Proverb will most help you be a better friend right now…this week?
