Ridicule and intimidation were the tactics of the Assyrians on King Hezekiah and all of Jerusalem. While they mocked and maneuvered, God was unmoved. He answered the prayer of Hezekiah and Isaiah. Then Hezekiah passed on the encouraging news:

2 Chronicles 32:7-8 (NIV) “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. 8With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

Great story…but what about me? What about you?

I don’t know what you’re facing today, but I do know this for sure. Our God is bigger and stronger than anything that is thrown at us. Let that sink in.

Now go. Be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged. God is with you!

In fact, say it out loud: "My God is bigger than ____________________________!"
