In preparation for this weekend’s message I came across a great article in Forbes magazine. I’ll give you some more from it on the weekend because it fits perfectly with what we’ll be learning about in Matthew 14:22-33.

 

Here’s the quote: “Making no decision and sticking with the status quo is a decision.”

 

This weekend we’ll be taking a closer look at Peter’s crazy faith as he gets out of a boat and walks on the water with Jesus.

 

What I want you to consider today is simple: is there a decision you’ve been needing to make? Is there something you need to do to truly follow God? Is the status quo getting in the way of a real adventure with Jesus?

 

As John Ortberg said, “If you want to walk on water, you’ve got to get out of the boat!”
