Praying for Easter – Part 1

WIth only 20 DAYS until Easter (and only 17 until our first Easter service) I want to encourage you each week as Easter approaches to spend some intentional time in prayer.

Today, I want us to see part of Jesus’ prayer for us as he approached the cross. Read this in John 17 and then let me give you a couple of things to specifically pray about.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:20-21 NIV)

Let’s pray the week about the importance of our unity as we attempt to point the world to Jesus. They need to see our love and our commitment to others in the Body of Christ.

Today let’s pray for:

1-Other Bible teaching, Jesus honoring churches throughout our Valley. One church will not reach everyone, but the churches in our Valley working AS ONE can make a huge impact.

2-Other believers where you work or live or go to school. Although they may go to other churches, remember we are in this together.

3-Your TOP FIVE list of people who need Jesus. (Hint…this will be a part of our prayers every day!) Ask God to open the doors of opportunity so you can invite them to our Easter services.
