So excited about this!
After our Leadership Training was complete, we headed to Siem Reap, Cambodia. From there we were able to see some of Angkor Wat, the 9th Wonder of the World. We also got to visit some churches that don’t get many visitors.
These churches, while small have a bunch of kids who show up each week from the community. I loved being with them for a time of encouragement and worship. They were blown away that we actually came to see them…but the honor was truly all ours.
Yes, we’re saved by grace…but then we have some work to do! I love what we’ve been able to do on this trip. I can’t wait to see you all this weekend at Community to share with you personally what God’s been doing in Cambodia. I also get to continue our Family Values series…which I’m stoked about!!
“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.” (Ephesians 2:7-10 MSG)
