One of the most exciting weekends of the year is just a few days away. I can’t wait! Here are a few things you need to know.

1-If you haven’t signed up for a project yet, you can call the office or show up at Gibbel Park (on the West side of the Hemet Mall on Kirby) at 9 am. They’ll be able to send you from there.

2-Depending on your project, you may need to bring your own tools. Be aware of what is needed.

3-Your team leader will have water, but it doesn’t hurt to bring your own as well. Also, if you’re outside, bring a hat and sunscreen.

4-See this as the powerful opportunity that it is. Serving gives us credibility to speak into the lives of others. Remember, “People don’t care how much you know, till they know how much you care.”

5-Things don’t always go as planned. Be flexible, be gracious and be patient.

6-Come and hang out at Gibbel Park after your project is done. Swing by a drive-thru, grab some lunch and come relax in the park.

Now, let’s go make a difference in our valley!
