There are times, for whatever reason, I’m drawn back to verses in the Bible that I read earlier in the year, but now they’ve resurfaced. Today I want to share with you two verses that never cease to blow me away. Here you go:

 

Deuteronomy 30:15-16 (NIV) See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

 

The choice was given to the Israelites after they looked again at the law. The choice is clear and powerful. The choice was theirs.

 

It’s not a stretch to see that God still has a choice for us. To choose His Son is to choose life. Real life. Abundant life.

 

That’s the incredibly powerful choice we get to make when we choose Him. As I let these words soak into my heart, I’m also aware that it’s not just a one time choice. This is a choice I make each and every day. 

 

Today, again, I choose Jesus. Today, I will follow Him with everything I’ve got. I choose LIFE.
