What if this was you?

What if this was you?

Do you struggle being content?

Know this: There are BILLIONS of dollars spent on advertising every year to keep you from being content. Seriously. Being content is truly an uphill battle.

The Apostle Paul says that there’s a “secret” for being content. Would you like to know what it is? Would you like to live your life as a more content person?

By the way, I don’t mean to suggest that being content is about sitting back and not trying to improve or do things that will make a difference in others. Contentment isn’t about being lazy. However, contentment is about being OK with where you’re at (even while striving for more.)

Now read Paul’s words and see if you can discover the secret. If not, I’ll give it to you on Wednesday!

“How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.” (Philippians 4:10-12 NLT)
