What if you tried this?

Are you tired of trying to do it all on your own? Are you worn out from trying to be “Good enough”? “Kind enough”? “Selfless enough”?

For all the right reasons, we want to be the kind of a Christ-follower that is going to make a difference and lead people to Jesus. So what’s missing?

I’m glad I asked. When was the last time, instead of doing it all on your power and effort, you asked God for His Holy Spirit?!?!

Read these verses and then ask God for what He really wants to give you most.

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:11-13 NIV)
