What’s the big deal?

Why is Easter such a big deal? I’m not talking about the “holiday” of Easter, or even the extra amount of people who show up at church on this special weekend. I’m talking about Easter…the day Jesus rose from the dead.

If Jesus dies for us, but is in a tomb somewhere…His death didn’t mean much. However, if He actually walked out of the grave, that changes everything!!!

A risen Lord gives us hope. A risen Lord proves His claims. A risen Lord can actually make a difference in your life!

So, today, take a moment and thank Jesus for the reality of His life and hope and power.

“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. …And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. …If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.” (1 Corinthians 15:14,17,19 NIV)
